Situationship hell

7 December 2025
We find ourselves in the terminal phase of the social revolution—a "Situationship Hell" where the structures meant to protect the feminine have been accidentally, or perhaps maliciously, dismantled in the name of liberation. The modern dating landscape is a landscape of ruins. We have traded the sacred architecture of Courtship for the entropic sludge of "dating"—a series of casual sexual partnerships with no direct intention of marriage or lineage.

As Charlotte Fang (@charlottefang77) has noted, "Courtship is dating with explicit intent to marry—family is involved, expectations are clear from the outset, partner is thoughtfully considered for the lifetime role they're applying for." Anything else is merely a negotiation of degeneracy. The perversion of these definitions is the defining crisis of our era. We have been conditioned to believe that love is a feeling to be found at a bar or a fleeting connection on a digital grid, when in reality, Love is a discipline of the Spirit, anchored in the absolute structure of Marriage.

The tragedy of the modern woman is her settlement for mediocre love. No woman would settle for a man's lukewarm affection if she could see the terrifying, transformative power of a man truly in love—a man who has found his purpose in the protection and elevation of his family. Conversely, no man would attempt to purchase a woman's heart with the hollow currency of gifts and attention if he could witness the radical, authentic loyalty of a woman who loves a man she respects.

The "situationship" is the thermodynamic heat-death of romance. It is a state of permanent ambiguity that serves only the market, never the soul. It is the byproduct of a world that has forgotten that the only reason to date is to marry. To engage in the "dating market" without the intent of marriage is to participate in your own obsolescence. You will not find the person you love at a bar; you will find them in the shared pursuit of a higher value, in the recognition of a spirit that refuses to be optimized.
